NKOZI is a non-for-profit mission hospital established in 1942 serving a population of about
230684 people in the districts of Mpigi, Butambala, and Gomba. The hospital has an active
license by the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council with license No. 15083 and liaises with the District Health Officer of Mpigi. NKOZI seeks to provide affordable health care to the populations and hosts a community health scheme where communities can make upfront payments to receive healthcare from the hospital.
NKOZI hosts a community health scheme that serve groups in the regions of districts of Mpigi, Butambala and Gomba.
With premiums of only Ugx 2000 (USD 0.5) monthly, rural communities can now access health care from hospitals in their communities. The insured are healthier, their finances too.
